The acquisition combines New Way Power’s local expertise and manufacturing capabilities with Pramac global portfolio, technology and international reach.
Pramac, part of the Generac Group and an international leader in power generation and energy management solutions, today announced the completion of its acquisition of the New Way Power business from enX Group.
The transaction includes New Way Power’s operating business and its manufacturing site in South Africa, strengthening Pramac’s presence in the country and establishing a solid platform for growth across Southern Africa. The acquisition also marks Pramac’s entry into a new continent, creating a strategic base to support customers in South Africa and neighbouring countries.
New Way Power is a South African business specialising in the design, manufacture, service, rental and maintenance of prime and standby power solutions. Its operations also include monitoring and control systems, aftermarket parts supply and renewable energy solutions.
The acquisition brings together New Way Power’s local market knowledge, technical expertise, manufacturing capabilities, service network and established customer relationships with Pramac and Generac’s broad product portfolio, advanced technologies, global supply chain and international reach.
This combination will enable Pramac to further expand the solutions available to customers across the region, including diesel and gas generators, mobile and portable products, rental solutions, lighting towers, hybrid systems and battery energy storage technologies.
The transaction represents an important step forward in Pramac’s international growth strategy and strengthens the Group’s ability to serve strategic sectors including data centres, industrial applications, telecommunications, healthcare, critical infrastructure and mining.
“The completion of this acquisition represents an important milestone in Pramac’s international growth strategy. New Way Power has built a strong presence in Southern Africa through its technical expertise, local manufacturing capabilities and long-standing relationships with customers and partners. By combining these strengths with Pramac global portfolio, technologies and international reach, we aim to create new opportunities and provide customers across the region with increasingly comprehensive and reliable energy solutions,” said Niccolo’ Borracchini, CEO of Pramac.
A key priority will be to build on the strengths that have contributed to New Way Power’s success, preserving and enhancing its local presence, expertise, customer proximity and ability to develop customised solutions for the specific needs of the market.
Operations will continue with a strong focus on ensuring continuity for customers, partners and suppliers, while supporting the development of new solutions and commercial opportunities. The integration will provide New Way Power with access to the resources, technology and international scale of Pramac and Generac, while continuing to build on the value and capabilities developed locally over the years.
The completion of the acquisition marks the beginning of a new chapter for New Way Power and Pramac, bringing together local expertise and global resources to support business growth and respond more comprehensively to the evolving energy needs of the region.
