Pramac Launches BSC MAX PRO and BSC PWR PRO: Advanced Energy Storage for Reliable Backup Power
Pramac introduces the new BSC MAX PRO and BSC PWR PRO series, setting a new benchmark in containerized energy storage solutions. Designed to address growing grid instability and frequent outages, these systems combine advanced technology with reliable backup capabilities to ensure operational continuity and resilience.
At the heart of the PRO series is the ability to operate both on-grid and off-grid, with automatic switchover in less than five seconds thanks to the integrated Pramac Smart Transfer Switch (PSTS). This rapid transition minimizes downtime and protects critical loads without manual intervention. Delivering up to 900 kW of off-grid power and a 120% overload capacity, the systems are engineered to handle peak loads and demanding industrial environments with ease.
Off-Grid Operation:
In the event of a grid failure, all loads and the BESS initially switch off. A dedicated Controller detects the outage via voltage measurement devices and ensures that the transition to island mode is safe. Dedicated UPS units keep PSTS and EMS active. Once the Controller gives the go-ahead, the inverter changes its operating mode and the motorized load switch transfers to stand-alone operation, restoring power to critical consumers quickly and securely.
Beyond backup functionality, the PRO series is designed for microgrid integration and PV compatibility, enabling businesses to reduce energy costs and diesel consumption while supporting sustainability goals. The ECO Mode offers seamless activation and deactivation of the generator. Safety and compliance are guaranteed through features such as star point earthing in island mode and standard-compliant reconnection to the grid.
